Jo Olagboyega

I have worked in the Healthcare setting in East Kent since 2010. I initially worked clinically as a midwife in both the community and acute settings and then moved into a Clinical Governance role specialising in risk management, policies, guidelines and conducting route cause analysis investigations into clinical incidents and implementing appropriate action plans to mitigate risk. In 2018 I undertook the Darzi Fellowship gaining a Post Graduate Certificate in Healthcare Management and moved into an operational manager role heading up the midwifery service at the William Harvey Hospital.

More latterly I have moved into a Medical Education role within the Trust, choosing to diversify away from just midwifery, into supporting the Doctor workforce and ensuring our work is aligned to the NHS Long Term workforce strategy. My job is focused on our medical workforce and quality assuring their education and training and maintaining a safe clinical learning environment. As a local education provider we are accountable to NHS England and the various Healthcare Regulatory bodies whom I provide evidence and assurance to an a regular basis.
