Bek Withnall:
Speech and Language Therapist

Bek Withnall

My name is Bek Withnall, I am an independent Speech and Language Therapist with many years of experience supporting children and young people in a range of educational settings across Kent. I started my career within the NHS and then became fully independent 12 years ago. This has enabled me to follow my passion in empowering young people to find their voices, especially those navigating language and communication challenges and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties. I’ve dedicated my career to creating and delivering supportive, personalized therapy that fosters growth, confidence, and independence. Whether it’s through individual sessions, group work, or collaborative projects within schools, colleges and with the families, I strive to make a positive, lasting impact on each young person’s life

I believe in the power of building relationships with the young people I work with and meeting them where they are at, is the foundation of all my work. Supporting them to develop their communication and interaction skills to equip them as they move into young adulthood with all the challenges that presents, personally, socially and in the workplace feels like a real privilege and brings me an enormous amount of joy

When I’m not working, I love exploring new ways to blend creativity with therapy or reading up on the latest in psychology and education. I am also a governor at a local infant school. To bring balance to my life, I love travelling, pottering in my garden and spending time with my teenage children.

Qualifications:
BSc. Speech Pathology and Therapy, MSc. Human Communication – Specialist route for working with deaf people, Member of Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (MRCSLT), HCPC registered.
