I have experience in working with those with autistic spectrum condition, ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder), developmental coordination disorder/dyspraxia, sensory processing issues and developmental delay and providing therapeutic interventions and programmes addressing sensory and physical needs.
I offer assessment and treatment for young people with concerns regarding physical development and motor coordination for functional activities including fine motor skills such as handwriting and self-care tasks.
I have training and experience in a range of therapeutic approaches including Bobath neurodevelopmental treatment, postural management, the Cognitive Orientation to Occupational Performance approach, the neurological impact of complex trauma, counselling and Makaton.
I am trained in Sensory Integration Theory and Treatment (II), which equips me with foundational skills in the application of sensory processing theory with individuals. I am passionate about the wellbeing and emotional development of children and young people and enabling the development of self-regulation and executive functioning skills.
I also have a keen interest and training in the use of yoga as a sensory integrative tool to assist the development of body awareness, movement and self-regulation which supports individuals with coordination and sensory difficulties.
